We have an active children's ministry at Ebenezer. A large portion of our church is comprised of families with young children, and thus we believe that God entrusts us to have a nurturing environment for children in our fellowship.

 

Here are some of the ministries that we have for youth at Ebenezer:

 

a. Sunday School- Sunday mornings at 10:00, we have dedicated classes for youth and adults. These classes are interactive and teach what it means to be a disciple of Jesus.

 

b. Children's Church - Our youth take part in the active worship time of our Sunday morning service. During the sermon time, the younger children are allowed to go to Children's Church, which is a Bible time led by volunteers who teach at a level that is compatible with the youth.

 

c. Sunday night Youth Group - On Sunday nights, we have a youth group meeting that allows the young people to worship and have a Bible lesson and fellowship time. The young people have a common time of worship and then divide into classes for Bible study, discipleship, and fellowship. We have caring adults who are able to relate to youth of all ages, and our youth are becoming leaders in our church.

 

d. Vacation Bible School - Each summer, our church sponsors a week of intense Bible study, fun, and activities. The entire church is decorated, and the emphasis is on the youth for the week.

 

e. Youth choir - Our young people are invited to be part of a youth choir that puts on several productions during the year.

 

f. Youth activities and events - Throughout the year, we schedule opportunities for our youth to get together and socialize and fellowship. We believe that our young people need to support each other.

 

g. Church camp and other regional retreats - Our young people have opportunity to attend youth retreats sponsored by our denomination as well as attending church camp during the summer. For upcoming retreats and camp info, you can go to www.mysmc.org
